The CES is the first audio and written comprehensive career exploration program available online, at a fee accessible to career, adult education,
youth, correctional and employment centers. It is written at a simplified reading level, includes a complete varied voice audio component,
and is available in English and Spanish. Voices are varied to maintain the interest of nonreaders. It ties in all components a person needs
to make an informed and intelligent career selection.
In just three steps, a person can find appropriate occupations, consider accessible education and training options, search for jobs by location,
learn to read career oriented information, and work systematically towards goals.
First, the Career Edge System™ is built around a validated career interest assessment, based on the Holland interest categories and also on self-employment.
Secondly, the participant explores job tasks and needed skills by interest and education levels. The third step is the CES™ Workbook, which guides
the participant through job search, goal-setting, and job applications and much more.
The online accessibility of the Career Edge System™ allows users to participate anywhere through the Internet. Each individual client will have his or
her one year personal career planning site available 24/7. Each purchasing program can track client progress seamlessly online as well as train case workers,
career counselors and instructors online.
We provide the CES™ in both English and Spanish, at a level all participants can read. We have not just added audio but we have audio explanation and
guidance if they cannot read. We provide closed captioned videos with audio narration for many jobs. We offer correctional programs for behind the walls
of facilities or for pre and post release employment planning and job matching programs.
The CES™ can be used to design a career, ESL, beginning computer use or literacy course. Instructors and case managers can track the participants’
work and progress remotely. Workbooks can be printed for use in hard copy for assignments or participants can work through exercises online…that way
the case managers and instructors can further ease their workload and save time by tracking participant’s work remotely and generate reports on the
actual time spent in each area of the program.
We also have materials to facilitate peer working groups on such topics as transferable skills identification, interview practicing and much more.
